Single lane traffic will be maintained and adjoining roads will be closed when work takes place at junctions.
Queen Street Gardens East was closed off entirely on Monday morning, sparking a period of traffic chaos with a number of diversions in place for all vehicles and buses, despite the council stating on their website that it would only close during off-peak hours.
The early closure resulted in “notable” delays with one user claiming traffic was at a “standstill” on Heriot Row.
