A police spokesman said: "It looks like a tree has fallen over. It does not look like it's causing any disruption, which would suggest cars are getting past."

The spokesman confirmed there are no injuries and that no cars have been damaged as a result.

The tree is currently being removed by Edinburgh City Council.
