West Lothian parents issue fresh appeal to find urn bracelet containing daughter's ashes

“I genuinely don’t care what condition it is in. I just want my baby girl home”

A family from West Lothian have issued a fresh appeal to find a bracelet containing the ashes of their two-year-old daughter, which has now been missing for around two weeks.

The urn bracelet, which belongs to dad Donny Mitchell, was lost somewhere between Edinburgh and West Lothian around August 19.

Despite an emotional appeal and searches for the sentimental item, the family has still been unable to locate it.

The bracelet is particularly precious to the family as it contains the ashes of their young daughter Kerris.

It is understood the bracelet had a broken clasp when it went missing, raising fears that it may have fallen off unnoticed during the journey.

The family are now once again asking members of the public to keep an eye out for the distinctive piece of jewellery and to get in touch if they believe they have found it.

Previously, the family urged people to look in areas including Niddrie, around the Royal Infirmary and Bathgate, where they believe the bracelet could have been lost.

The family have offered a £500 cash reward for its safe return.

The bracelet has now been missing for approximately two weeks, but the family are refusing to give up hope of being reunited with their daughter’s ashes.

They are concerned that whoever finds it may not realise what it contains and could mistake it for a piece of ordinary jewellery.

Anyone who finds the bracelet is asked to contact the family and return it, with the family stressing how much it would mean to them to have the keepsake back.
