Hearts have made an official move to bring Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes to Tynecastle as they step up the search for Neil Critchley’s successor.
The 53-year old has delivered success with St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock throughout his time as a head coach in Scottish football and a big part of that has been his signings. It’s fair to say the former Rangers midfielder has a preference for UK based players which brings up the question of what that means for the current oversees players at Tynecastle and the club’s current recruitment process involving Jamestown Analytics.
Here are the 116 signings that McInnes made for Aberdeen and Kilmarnock:

81. Declan Glass
Signed on loan from Dundee United and managed a handful of appearances. Now plays for League One promotion hopefuls Cove Rangers. | SNS Group

82. Dean Campbell
McInnes brought the midfielder on loan from old club Aberdeen and he was another who made a handful of appearances on the Ayrshire club's way to the Championship title. Now plays for Barrow in England's League Two. | SNS Group

83. Alan Power
McInnes' first summer signing was to bring the experienced midfielder back to Rugby Park after his release from St Mirren. He added 35 more league appearances to the 118 from his first spell and ended his career after the following season with Greenock Morton | SNS Group

84. Kerr McInroy
Killie picked up the Scotland under 21 international after his release from Celtic but he struggled for regular game time over his two seasons in Ayrshire which included a loan spell at Partick Thistle. He now plays for Shelbourne in the League of Ireland. | SNS Group
