Hearts have made an official move to bring Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes to Tynecastle as they step up the search for Neil Critchley’s successor.
The 53-year old has delivered success with St Johnstone, Aberdeen and Kilmarnock throughout his time as a head coach in Scottish football and a big part of that has been his signings. It’s fair to say the former Rangers midfielder has a preference for UK based players which brings up the question of what that means for the current oversees players at Tynecastle and the club’s current recruitment process involving Jamestown Analytics.
Here are the 116 signings that McInnes made for Aberdeen and Kilmarnock:

113. Bruce Anderson
Had been frustrated by a lack of regular game time under McInnes at Aberdeen but after an impressive few seasons with Livingston he was a smart signing on a free transfer and has bagged 11 goals in all competitions this season. | SNS Group

114. Robby McCrorie
A move that looked good for the player and the club but hasn't panned out that way and he has lost his place as first choice keeper at Rugby Park for the time being | SNS Group

115. Jack Burroughs
Previously had a loan spell at Ross County and the Coventry City defender has not played for a few weeks and was recently rule out through injury | SNS Group

116. Calvin Ramsay
After breaking into the Aberdeen first team as a teenager he earned a big money move to Liverpool but injuries hampered his chances of progressing at Anfield. His loan with Killie is the most recent as the once capped Scotland full back, still only 21, looks to get his career back on track | SNS Group
