As Hibs prepare to take on Hearts in Sunday afternoon’s Scottish League Cup semi-final, manager Marink Reedijk will hoping for a better result than the last Edinburgh Derby at Hampden Park.
On 16 April, 2022, the Hibees missed out on a place in the Scottish Cup final after losing out 2-1 to their rivals. Hearts took an early lead through two long range strikes from forward Ellis Simms and defender Stephen Kingsley. Hibs managed to get a goal back through full back Chris Cadden - but a second half red card for midfielder Joe Newell scuppered any chance of a comeback.
As they now prepare for battle again, we take a trip down memory lane at the Hibs starting XI and subs from that day. From Kirkcaldy to Los Angeles and Hong Kong, here’s where they are now:

1. GK - Matt Macey
Since leaving Hibs shortly after the semi final the stopper has had spells at Luton Town, Portsmouth and Colchester United. In June this year, he signed for EFL League One side Wycombe Wanderers but a nasty ACL injury picked up in pre season has led to a lengthy spell on the sidelines. | SNS Group

2. RWB - Chris Cadden
The scorer of the Hibs goal on the day spent five years all-in at Easter Road before moving to Aberdeen in the summer. | SNS Group

3. CB - Paul McGinn
One third of the Hibs McGinn brotherly clan, the defender left the club by mutual consent months after the Hampden clash. He was snapped up by Premiership rivals Motherwell, where he has been since. | SNS Group

4. CB - Ryan Porteous
Pictured here, he thought he'd equalised before his second half header was saved by Craig Gordon. His decade-long association with Hibs ended in 2023 when he signed for Watford. He now plays alongside Tottenham heroes Heung-min Son and Hugo Lloris at LAFC in the MLS. | SNS Group
