As Hibs prepare to take on Hearts in Sunday afternoon’s Scottish League Cup semi-final, manager Marink Reedijk will hoping for a better result than the last Edinburgh Derby at Hampden Park.
On 16 April, 2022, the Hibees missed out on a place in the Scottish Cup final after losing out 2-1 to their rivals. Hearts took an early lead through two long range strikes from forward Ellis Simms and defender Stephen Kingsley. Hibs managed to get a goal back through full back Chris Cadden - but a second half red card for midfielder Joe Newell scuppered any chance of a comeback.
As they now prepare for battle again, we take a trip down memory lane at the Hibs starting XI and subs from that day. From Kirkcaldy to Los Angeles and Hong Kong, here’s where they are now:

13. SUB - Sylvester Jasper

14. SUB - Elias Melkersen
The Norwegian spent two years at Hibs after signing from European giant-killers Bodo Glimt. In 2024, he signed for Stromsgodset back in his homeland and hasn't moved since. | SNS Group

15. SUB - Chris Mueller
Last month, the American was forced into early retirement at the age of 30 after recurring flareups of his pericarditis. Despite only playing 11 times for Hibs, he included lyrics from club anthem 'Sunshine on Leith' in his emotional farewell speech. | SNS Group

16. Manager - Shaun Maloney
The Edinburgh Derby defeat proved to be the Scotsman's final match as Hibs boss. He is now assistant to Martin O'Neill at rivals Celtic. | SNS Group
