As Hibs prepare to take on Hearts in Sunday afternoon’s Scottish League Cup semi-final, manager Marink Reedijk will hoping for a better result than the last Edinburgh Derby at Hampden Park.
On 16 April, 2022, the Hibees missed out on a place in the Scottish Cup final after losing out 2-1 to their rivals. Hearts took an early lead through two long range strikes from forward Ellis Simms and defender Stephen Kingsley. Hibs managed to get a goal back through full back Chris Cadden - but a second half red card for midfielder Joe Newell scuppered any chance of a comeback.
As they now prepare for battle again, we take a trip down memory lane at the Hibs starting XI and subs from that day. From Kirkcaldy to Los Angeles and Hong Kong, here’s where they are now:

5. CB - Paul Hanlon
After accruing over 550 Hibs appearances, the defender left for Raith Rovers in the summer of 2024. Last season, he had a brief stint as interim player/manager at Stark's Park. | SNS Group

6. Harry Clarke

7. CM - Lewis Stevenson
Like Hanlon, the Hibs hero left Leith for Raith in 2024 after 22 years and 600 appearances. At the age of 38, he's admitted that he's considering retirement in the near future. | SNS Group

8. CM - Joe Newell
Midfielder had a day to forget four years ago, when he was sent off for a tackle on Peter Haring. He's the only member of the Hibs squad from that day that could feature on Sunday as unused substitute Rocky Bushiri remains injured. | SNS Group
