With Whitburn singer Lewis Capaldi set to release his second album next month, we’ve taken a look at another reason his fans love him – his wicked sense of humour.
After selling more than 10 million copies of his debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’, the ‘Someone You Loved’ star will follow that up on May 19 with ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’. And while his recent Netflix documentary ‘How I'm Feeling Now’ showed that he struggles with his mental health just like anyone else, Lewis is widely known for his hilarious behaviour. He regularly has fans rolling with laughter in his press interviews and on his social media platforms, with his Scottish humour delighting and sometimes shocking fans across the world.
So we’ve looked back at some of Lewis’s funniest comments since he burst onto the scene in 2017 when he released ‘Bruises’.

9. Influencer
Lewis brought a smile to fans’ faces as he revealed that he was trying to become an influencer during an Instagram video back in May, 2020. He posted a series of pictures on social media pouting and posing for the camera. He said: "My brother got one of those ring light things that people on Instagram use to make u more handsome so I thought I’d have a go at becoming an influencer. Swipe to see a video of my process guys." Photo: Slaven Vlasic/ Getty

10. Who wants to be a millionaire?
When a contestant on Who Wants to be a Millionaire struggled to identify Lewis as the artist behind number one album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, and host Jeremy Clarkson described him as an “unknown man”, Lewis was able to see the funny side of things and took the opportunity to bring out hoodies and t-shirts to commemorate the hilarious moment. The singer feigned shock, surprise and sadness at the fact the contestant and Clarkson had no clue who he was. Photo: Neil Mockford

11. School accident
Lewis revealed that he soiled himself when he was in second year of high school in an interview with American radio host Ryan Seacrest in 2020. He left the radio studio in fits of laughter with the story when he said: “I trusted a fart a little too much and I said to my pal 'listen to this'. “Little did I know that my gut was not feeling up to the theatrics of a fart that day. Let’s just say I had a slight accident and I went chalk white.” Photo: Jeff Kravitz

12. Net worth
One of the reasons we love Lewis Capaldi so much is that he's incredibly relatable. In one Instagram post he revealed how nonsensical those 'estimated worth' reports really are in true Capaldi style. “You mean to tell me I've been kicking about in the same clothes for six months, and there's ten f**king million quid sitting about somewhere? Where the f**k is it?” Photo: Frank Hoensch
