The film Parasite was due to start at 6pm today, but about an hour and a half later the audience still find themselves staring at a blank screen.

The viewing was also due to feature a Q&A session with director Bong Joon-ho at the end.

"I've actually seen it already, I just feel sorry for everyone that didn't get to see it here today," said cinema-goer Niall Green, 36.

Staff at The Cameo have since apologised to the crowd according to one audience member, but the technical fault is still keeping them waiting.

Another viewer said: "The projector is broken.

"We have been here for about an hour.

"The manager has given an apology, but we're still waiting."

A spokeswoman for Picturehouse Cinemas who run The Cameo said customers will be refunded or given a voucher for another film.
