From quirky fashion trends to flip phones, iPods and intenet cafes, the Noughties were an exciting for many people.
And closer to home Edinburgh’s high streets have changed almost beyond recognition since then, with many shops, bars and nightclubs no longer in business.

9. HMV, Princes Street

10. Bongo Club
The original Bongo Club was situated in a rather non-descript brick building next to New Street bus depot. Here it is pictured on 6 January 2000. It has since been demolished, but the Bongo Club lives on at 66 Cowgate. In between the years it was situated on Holyrood Road. Photo: TSPL
