Legendary Edinburgh family-run Vittoria Group celebrates winning national award
Family business has become an Edinburgh ‘institution’ since starting in 1970
Edinburgh’s legendary family-run food and drink business Vittoria Group has been celebrating winning a national award.
The local family-run restaurant group celebrated an exciting award win on Thursday, November 5, taking home the Independent Multiple Operator of the Year (4-7 Outlets) award at the SLTN Awards, in association with Diageo, recognising the success of the business within their market.

A Vittoria Group spokesperson said: “Spanning four generations, the Crolla family has always placed people at the heart of the business. Today, the group employs more than 320 staff members across its restaurants, with many long-serving team members progressing into more senior roles.
“This award serves as a recognition of their hard work and dedication to their employees and the customers they serve on a daily basis.”

What began in 1970 with the opening of Vittoria on the Walk in Leith by ‘Nonno’ Alberto Crolla and his wife Dina has grown into a thriving group of seven venues across Edinburgh, now run by their grandsons Alberto and Leandro Crolla, supported by their father Tony and mother Angela.
Vittoria on the Walk has become an Edinburgh institution, welcoming generations of families, students, professionals, and tourists with its warm, family-run hospitality and authentic Italian cuisine.
The group has since expanded to include Vittoria on The Bridge, refined wine bar Divino, all-day café Taste of Italy, two award-winning Old Town fish and chips venues at Bertie’s and Landy’s, and the community-focused Brunswick Book Club.
