St James Quarter Edinburgh shops: All the stores and restaurants opening today

The St James Quarter, the Capital's new shopping centre and food district, opened this morning (June 24) with Edinburgh’s first Lego shop, Peloton and eateries like Salerno Pizza among the many new establishments now available to visit.

After construction first began at the site back in 2016, the St James Quarter has finally opened its doors to city shoppers – with many eager to explore the new site boasting a variety of fashion, fitness and beauty stores as well as unique entertainment venues, cafes and restaurants.

Which shops will open during Phase One at St James Quarter?

This week’s initial opening will mark Phase One of the centre’s grand opening, with further instalments and openings of shops, restaurants, bars and experiences still to come in the summer and autumn months of 2021.

Neighbouring department stores John Lewis and Harvey Nichols have reopened already in order to capitalise on a tide of eager shoppers keen to get back to business as usual in the city centre, but also recently revealed their own new looks and refreshes to their shop floors.

Iconic high street fashion stores such as & Other Stories, Bershka and Stradivarius will be introduced to Scotland for the first time at the St James Quarter and build on an expansive range of luxury, designer outlets like Kurt Geiger, Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger.

Meanwhile, the much-awaited Lego Store will finally be opening in Edinburgh on Thursday, alongside Peloton, Lane 7 and more.

The stylish boutique W Hotel is among a whole host of venues opening at an unknown date later this summer, with Roomzzz Aparthotels coming soon ahead of lavish apartments at the site offering panoramic views over the city.

These are expected to become available in 2022.

While numerous other prestigious cafes, bars and restaurants like The Alchemist, Black Sheep Coffee, Sushi Samba and Joelato are set to open in July and throughout the rest of the year, here is a run-down of the shops and restaurants which have now opened at new St James Quarter galleria.
