Asda staff strip off for racy charity calendar


Most of the images were captured indoors but some of the al fresco pictures sparked fears the nude subjects might be arrested for indecency.
Deli counter assistant Zane Harvey turned amateur photographer and persuaded colleagues to strip off to raise money for the Radio Forth Cash for Kids appeal, which helps disadvantaged children.

Hide AdThe 32-year-old said: “A few of them were a bit nervous but once we started taking pictures they got more comfortable. They were all very happy with the final images – though some of them said they wished they had been to the gym for the six months beforehand.”
Zane, of Lochend, added: “They are all people who I know really well from work so they all said they would get involved when I asked, as it’s just something a bit different. It’s something you never expect to do with your colleagues.”


Helen Haddow, 39, and Deborah Flood, 50, braved the cold for an early morning shoot on Arthur’s Seat for July’s Thelma and Louise image.

Hide AdDeborah, who is bakery section leader, said: “I’m not shy but we were amazed by how many people were out that early in the day.
“I was jumping around and I suddenly thought the police might come and take us away. It was very exhilarating.”
Cramond resident Helen, who works in home shopping, said while the temperatures were a little uncomfortable she was happy to take part.
She added: “I was a bit nervous as I am coming up for 40 and it is not a thing you would normally do but it is for a good cause.”

Hide AdDeli counter worker Bruce Galloway starred in five images, including December’s Magic Mike snap and April’s shot of The Inbetweeners.
The 20-year-old, from Greenbank, said: “The pictures were brilliant. My family are going to get signed copies for their Christmas presents.”
May star Lauren Davies, 19, of Portobello, posed amidst rose petals to recreate the image of Mena Suvari from American Beauty.
Lauren, who works in the George clothing section, said: “I had to try hard not to laugh as the rose petals kept falling off. My boyfriend wants a copy as do my gran and grandad, which is a bit awkward.”
The calendar costs £5 from the Asda branch.
