Edinburgh bus driver ‘badly hurt’ after yob throws stone smashing window

The incident happened on a Lothian bus service and police are now asking the public to report anyone engaging in this ‘reckless behaviour’. No details have been released of the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A Lothian bus driver was badly hurt after a stone was thrown, smashing a bus window.

"If you see anyone engaging in this reckless behaviour please contact the police or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

"This dangerous activity must stop.”

Police Scotland has been contacted for further comment.

The incident comes after a series of anti-social behaviour incidents targeting buses across the Capital.

Police Scotland has set up Operation Proust which is aimed at dealing with those who cause damage and disruption to essential public transport.
