The two events brought runners into the city centre on Sunday, September 21, running from the Royal Mile and finishing at Murrayfield Stadium, each lining up for their own reason - a personal goal, a first-time milestone, or a chance to raise money for a cause close to their heart.
Away from the finish line, one of the weekend's biggest achievements was the events’ fundraising records being broken, with more than £390,000 raised for charity.

Men’s and Women’s 10K director Neil Kilgour said: “Days like this show exactly what these events are all about. You have thousands of people standing on the same start line, but every single one of them has a different story and a different reason for taking part.
“Raising money for our charity partners is something we are incredibly proud of, and that achievement belongs to the runners and everyone who has supported their fundraising.
“Seeing the runners come into Murrayfield and receive the same support as each and everyone before them is always one of my favourite moments of the day. A huge thank you goes to every runner, volunteer, supporter and partner who helped make the event happen.”
Attention now turns to the next edition of the Men’s and Women’s 10K Edinburgh on Sunday, September 19, 2027, when runners will once again have the opportunity to take on a 10K on closed roads in the capital.
