The Edinburgh Evening News is celebrating its 150th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, we’re naming the city’s most famous faces. We'll be looking at 150 lauded musicians, actors, writers, local heroes and more, who have earned a place in history – not just in Edinburgh, but across the world. 13. Nicky Campbell
Broadcaster Nicky Campbell has worked in television and radio since 1981, across four Olympic Games, three Football World Cups and three European Championships plus every general election and referendum since 1997. 14. Naomi Mitchison
Naomi Mitchison was a novelist and poet. Often called a doyenne of Scottish literature, she wrote over 90 books of historical and science fiction, travel writing and autobiography. Neil Logan is the founder of Street Assist who go out on Friday and Saturday nights, providing support and first aid to people disoriented by alcohol or drugs, sleeping rough, or left vulnerable after a night out.
