Popular Edinburgh bakery Kilted Donut weeks away from opening new Leith Walk shop
The owners of popular Edinburgh bakery Kilted Donut are set to open a third location in the coming weeks.
Kilted Donut, which had a shop in Leith until 2022, is set to return to the neighbourhood next month with a new shop on Leith Walk.
Known for its fresh homemade artisan donuts, Kilted Donut started its journey as a stall at the Leith markets back in 2017. Popularity saw the owners open their own shop on Great Junction Street a year later, with three other branches having opened around the city including in Morningside and the Grassmarket.

Writing on Instagram, Kilted Donut said: “Well the cats out the bag now that Kilted Donut is splashed across our Leith Store window.
“We still have a few finishing touches needed before opening day, but we are so excited to let you know that there’s only two more weeks until we open the doors to you all! See you at Kilted Donut Leith on October 1.”
Speaking to the Evening News, Kilted Donut co-founder Lena Wollan said: “It’s great to get back to our roots to where it all started. We always intended to come back to Leith so it feels great to finally return.”
