Angry Hibs supporters accuse SPFL of fleecing fans as cup final ticket prices near £50
Supporters have branded the prices “disgusting” as North and South stand tickets come in at £49
Hibees have called ticket prices for their Hampden Park clash against Rangers in next month’s cup final “disgusting” and “outrageous” as prices near £50.
They have accused the SPFL, who agreed the ticket prices with both teams, of fleecing fans, with one commenter saying: “Two weeks before Christmas the SFA are going to sting your average family of four up to £160 to watch their team at Hampden. Merry Christmas.”
Standard adult tickets for the December 13 final will come in at £42, but tickets in the North and South stands will set supporters back £49. Concessionary tickets meanwhile will cost £27 and £30.

News of the prices quickly drew outrage from supporters on social media, with predictions that filling their allocation for the match at the national stadium will be a challenge as well as calls to cap the price of match tickets.
One Hibee said: “For 42 quid I better be getting named on the bench.” Another added: “Game has well and truly gone, so much for ‘footballs for the fans’.”
Hibs received a 50:50 split of the ticket allocations for the match across the South, East and North Stands.
Tickets for the final will set supporters back £10 more than when they witnessed the Easter Road side’s shocking 2-1 win over Hearts in Mount Florida on Sunday.

Rival fans joined in on the social media pile on saying: “Not sure of all the issues around pricing. £49 is a great price to watch Ranger lift the trophy.”
Not all supporters were fazed by the price rise however. One supporter said: “I’ll gladly pay £49 to see Hibs play in any Cup Final.”
When the final gets underway at 3pm, it will be only the second time the clubs have met in the final of this competition.
The last time the teams faced off in the 1993 Scottish League Cup final at Celtic Park, Rangers won 2-1.
Details on the tickets, including when they are set to go on sale, will be announced by the club soon.
