Warren O'Hora in four-word Hibs message after Hampden heroics as Junior Hoilett joins Easter Road serenading
Hibs are toasting victory over Hearts - and so are former players.
Warren O’Hora has lead a clutch of former players reacting to a seismic day at Hampden Park for Hibs against Hearts.
The centre-back swapped Leith for League One side Leicester City down south in the summer transfer window. He has watched on over an emotional rendition of Sunshine on Leith by the club’s fans and the players he used to call teammates, saying ‘Unbelievable, congratulations to everyone,’ following a 2-1 Edinburgh derby success.
Celebrations have commenced over the last 48 hours after Martin Boyle and Jamie McGrath strikes sealed a first-ever win at the national stadium for the Easter Road side over their city rivals. Not only do they have derby bragging rights, it was a Premier Sports Cup semi-final, which means they now take on Rangers in December’s showpiece match.
What former Hibs players have reacted to win over Hearts?
O’Hora is not the only former Hibs player to congratulate manager Marink Reedijk and the playing group. Chris Mueller said ‘no doubt’ under a video of the Sunshine on Leith sing-song while Elias Melkersen left a GIF of Dwight Schrute from American TV show, The Office, that said ‘Wow’ on the caption.
Junior Hoilett meanwhile left four green love hearts beneath the social media post that triumphantly declared that Hibs were Premier Sports Cup finalists. Joe Newell was a key performer in the game and ex-attacker Tam McManus revealed talks with the experienced midfielder ahead of his top display. McManus said: “Messaged Joe and spoke to him after the game. Man bleeds green & white and has been tremendous the last couple games. Loves the Hibs.”
Newell said post-match: “I think it was a game of contrast in halves, really, from our point of view. I thought, first half, you can see the kind of style and the way we want to play now. I thought there was some really good football played. Then you're playing against the top side, who have obviously been going well the last whatever it's been now.

"They've got quality, you know they're going to come out. They're losing, they're going to chuck everything at you. It's a cup game. You kind of expect that, but then to dig in the way we did, show all that courage, bravery, defending the box, but then still create a fair few chances ourselves. Complete contrast in halves that shows two sides of the game that you need to win a game of football."
