SPFL confirm Hibs v Rangers Premier Sports Cup final kick-off time and ticket details

Hibs will take on Rangers at the national stadium next month, with kick-off time and ticket details now confirmed

Hibs fans can now start planning their trip to Hampden after the SPFL officially confirmed the ticket details and match arrangements for next month's Premier Sports Cup final.

The Easter Road side will go head-to-head with Rangers at the national stadium on Sunday, December 13, as Marink Reedijk’s men look to secure the first piece of major silverware since lifting the Scottish Cup in 2016.

The final will get underway at 3pm at Barclays Hampden and will be shown live on Premier Sports. It will be just the second time Hibs and Rangers have contested the final of this competition, with the Ibrox club coming out on top in their previous meeting.

The Light Blues claimed a 2-1 victory in the 1993/94 staging, which was played at Celtic Park, meaning Hibs will be determined to write a different chapter in the clubs' history this time around.

The Scottish Professional Football League has now reached an agreement with both finalists and the relevant authorities over ticket allocations and prices.

Hibs supporters will be seated in sections of the South, East and North Stands, while Rangers fans will be allocated areas of the South, West and North Stands.

Adult tickets will predominantly be priced at £42, although supporters purchasing seats in the North and South Stands will pay £49. Concessionary tickets will also be available across the stadium, costing either £27 or £30.

Supporters should note that all tickets will be distributed digitally via the Barclays Hampden app. Further information on sale dates and purchasing arrangements will be communicated directly by both clubs through their respective channels in due course.

Attention will now turn towards the big occasion, with Hibs hoping to back up their semi-final triumph over Edinburgh rivals Hearts as they look to get their hands on a trophy that has deserted them since March 2007.

Under the management of John Collins, Hibs clinched the silverware by defeating Kilmarnock 5–1 in an emphatic final. Abdessalam Benjelloun (2), Steven Fletcher (2), and captain Rob Jones were all on the scoresheet.

In total, Hibs have won the League Cup three times in their history.

As a result of Hibs reaching the final, their Scottish Premiership fixture away to Celtic has been rescheduled. Originally set for Sunday 13 December, the league fixture has been moved to Wednesday 13 January, with kick-off at 7:45pm at Celtic Park.
