Singh Street Edinburgh: First look at Bruntsfield's new Indian restaurant opening in former Chop House unit

Singh Street on Bruntsfield Place offers a range of eyewatering dishes from curries, small plates and an innovative brunch menu that includes Punjabi omelettes, bacon and egg Naan rolls, and baked eggs and masala beans.

Hide AdSet across two floors, the 100-cover restaurant is set to open on Thursday, September 19, following weeks of renovating the venue formerly operated by the Chop House.
Open from 10am to 10pm, visitors to the new restaurant can try out Singh Street’s exciting menu that blends Scottish and Punjabi cuisines, with offerings including Masala fish and chips, Tandoori chicken, haggis Keema, slow braised mutton with Kashmiri chilli, a wide selection on Naans and many more dishes.
Speaking to the Evening News, Randhir Koli, head chef at Singh Street, said: “We serve Punjabi street food but with our own twist on it, taking influences from Scottish cuisine and Indian delicacies - so it's not your average local curry house.

Hide Ad“Flavour is a big thing for us and everything we do is authentic, homemade and made from scratch so we believe this is going be a local favourite. Fusing Scottish and Indian food is something I've done previously over the last three decades but at Singh Street we're taking it to a new level.
“We've had a lot of people knocking the door and popping in to see when we are opening which has been brilliant, just chatting to the locals and seeing how excited they are for us to be open gives us a joy. And I’m sure that once they taste our food, they will be very happy.”
