Tributes paid to 'much loved' mum and sister Chitsidzo Chinyanga who died following West Lothian disturbance

A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with her death

A West Lothian woman who died at a property in Broxburn has been named as Chitsidzo (Veronica) Chinyanga from Zimbabwe.

Police were called to a report of a disturbance in the Curnnighar Road area around 7.55pm on Sunday, June 9. The 42-year-old was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where she later died.

A 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with her death. He is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court on Tuesday June 11.

Releasing a statement through Police Scotland, Ms Chinyanga’s family said: "Veronica was a much loved mum, sister, niece and mother to all, who will be missed dearly by many. We would ask that we are given privacy to come to terms with our loss at this time."
