Hearts coach announces Tynecastle exit as he sends Jambos message ahead of 'new opportunity'

The coach has made the announcement via his social media.

Hearts coach Angus Beith has confirmed he has left the club to take up a ‘new opportunity.’

The former midfielder came through the Riccarton academy but retired aged just 23 following a persistent hip injury. He has been working behind the scenes for over seven years at Hearts in a variety of roles, recently passing his UEFA A Licence, with the Scottish Football Association.

Beith now moves on from the Premiership side as he looks to take up a fresh challenge. The 30-year-old posted on social media: “After over 7 years at Heart of Midlothian FC, the time has come for me to move on and take up a new opportunity.

Why has Angus Beith left Hearts?

“Hearts has been a massive part of my life and somewhere I feel I’ve grown massively, both personally and professionally. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in a number of different roles, bringing so many great experiences, challenges and opportunities to learn along the way.

“I’ve met so many top people, building some amazing relationships and hope I’ve been able to positively impact those I’ve coached and worked with at this great club.Excited for what’s next! “

Beith came through the Hearts academy before loans to Stirling Albion, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer preceded a permanent transfer to Inverness Caledonian Thistle, that never got going due to injury. He became an academy coach at Hearts in 2019 and was handed a first team tactical analyst role the following year. Beith then became Head of the Balerno School Programme in 2022 and his stint with the club’s ‘B’ team began during 2024.

He’s been a PDP coach since the Lowland League side was scrapped in the summer, part of the coaching staff that lifted the Scottish FA Youth Cup at Hampden Park, during the spring of last season.
