The Edinburgh Evening News is celebrating its 150th anniversary, and to mark the occasion, we’re naming the city’s most famous faces. We'll be looking at 150 lauded musicians, actors, writers, local heroes and more, who have earned a place in history – not just in Edinburgh, but across the world. 9. Grant Stott
Grant Stott is an actor and broadcaster. The former Radio Forth One DJ is well-known for his annual showstopping performances in panto at the King's Theatre. He started out in TV and worked for both STV and BBC. He returned to screen in 2021 on soap opera River City. Photo: Michael Gillen
10. Greg McHugh
Greg McHugh is the TV star of Fresh Meat and The A Word, but is still best known north of the border as Gary Tank Commander. He was nominated for a Scottish BAFTA as writer of the hit show. He reprised his role as Tank Commander in 2016 in a stage version of the sitcom. Photo: EEN
