Scotland’s largest sports stadium has changed a lot over the years, so we’ve taken a look back in our photo archives to see the changes carried out at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
5. Time for change
Aerial photo of Murrayfield Stadium as construction work continued in November 1992. The first phase was completed in January 1993 with the new north and south stands opening. In February 1994 the centre section of the new West Stand opened. In 1994, Murrayfield completed a £50-million renovation where floodlights were installed for the first time. Photo: Alan Ledgerwood
