With five cast members from hit BBC Scotland show Still Game announcing they will hold a special ‘audience with’ event at the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh later this year, we’ve taken a look at some of the funniest moments from the Glasgow pensioners.
The award-winning sitcom about the Craiglang old team ran from 2002 until 2007 when its creators and lead actors Ford Kiernan Greg Hemphill fell out, before returning in 2016 and running until 2019 when the main characters Jack and Victor died in an emotional final episode. As well as nine series on television, the show also enjoyed successful outings on stage, playing an incredible 46 sold out shows at the Hydro in Glasgow over three runs.
We relive some of the iconic Scottish TV show’s greatest funny moments, including Jack and Victory retrieving a pot of pee, the introduction of Methadone Mick and the Clansman pub quiz.

9. Weakest Link
Although we never saw Navid's wife Meena''s face until the final scene of the final episode, she provided some of the best one liners in Still Game. The conversations between the Harrids were often hilarious, with Meena's subtitled replies to her husband having viewers in stitches. One particular such scene was when Navid got angry when talking to Isa about BBC quiz show The Weakest Link, revealing his fury at host Anne Robinson for being mean to contestants, smashing up some of his stock in anger. With Meena then adding, "that's nothing, you should hear him about Chris Tarrant!" Photo: Alan Peebles/ BBC

10. Naw ye dinnae
A community centre opening leads to a funny encounter between Councillor McVitie, who was conducting the opening, and a bunch of local neds. The councillor says: "It gives me great pleasure to be here today." Too which teenager Fergie pipes up in a proper Glaswegian high-pitched twang: "Naw it doesny!" The councillor continues: "I've watched Craiglang grow and flourish." And the ned replies:"Naw ye huvny!" When the councillor speaks of his pride for the area, Fergie replies again, with "naw ye dinnae". Photo: BBC

11. Bogus gasman
In the very first episode of Still Game Jack and Victor ensue hilarity when checking out the flat of Victor's neighbour who has just died, turning up at the man's wake to measure the house and check it out as a possible future home for Jack. The pair check the suitability of the front door's spy hole. With Jack going out onto the landing and saying to Victor: "Open the door for I am a bogus gasman wae fake ID an am here tae ransack yer hoose!" The pair are then interrupted when the funeral director is trying to take the man out of the flat in his coffin. Photo: John Devlin
