Giant Edinburgh chippy wins prestigious prize at Scottish Fish and Chip Awards 2024

The winners of the Scottish Fish and Chip Awards 2024 were crowned during a glittering event at the Double Tree by Hilton in Glasgow on Monday, November 11.
Having gone through a public vote, as well as being judged by a panel of experts, each of the finalists were evaluated on everything from the quality of their fish, to taste, freshness, value, authenticity, innovation, and more.

Hide AdOne of the evening's highlights was a head-to-head live fry-off among the best fish fryers, held just before the evening awards ceremony. The ultimate winner was – Peter’s Fish and Chicken Bar in Dumfries.
Bertie's Proper Fish & Chips, on Edinburgh's Victoria Street, was awarded the title of Best Dine in Restaurant, while Musselburgh's East Coast claimed the prize for Best Chip Shop in the East of Scotland.
The Fish and Chip Awards are organised by Paramount Creative. Paramount’s CEO, Warren Paul, shared, “Each year we celebrate the very best in what has always been the classic takeaway – fish and chips.
