Edinburgh Retro: 26 great pictures of growing up in the late 1960s including Goldbergs funfair and Waverley Market carnival

From fireworks to funfairs, some of the fascinations of childhood may not change much.

But take a look at these old photos selected from the Evening News archive and see how different things looked back in the late 1960s.

And the places have changed a bit too. The pictures include a funfair at the long-gone Goldbergs department store and a Christmas carnival at the old Waverley Market.
