Shopper takes top prize as locals win share of £1,650 in supermarket vouchers
Supermarket voucher giveaway rewards 43 Edinburgh and Lothians shoppers
Dozens of shoppers across Edinburgh and the Lothians have won a share of £1,650 in supermarket vouchers following a region-wide giveaway.
A total of 43 customers from Edinburgh, West Lothian, Midlothian and East Lothian bagged prizes ranging from £25 to £100 in Spar Scotland's Great Big Giveaway.
Among the successful locals was Ann Marie Amedro, who took home the top regional prize of £100 after shopping at her local store in Dalkeith.
The regional wins were part of a wider six-week campaign which saw the convenience retailer distribute more than £50,000 in vouchers to 1,200 winners across Scotland.
Customers entered the prize draw between September and October by purchasing three participating products and uploading a photograph of their receipt online.
Paula Middleton, head of marketing at Spar Scotland, said: “It has been fantastic to see so many winners right across Edinburgh and Lothians.
“The Great Big Giveaway was designed to put something back into local communities, and 43 winners here shows exactly what that looks like."
