Man impaled through forehead by part of skip
A man had to be rescued by fire crews after he was impaled through the forehead by the lid catch of a skip.
Crews were called out to attend the incident, which happened at the Toyota Garage on Old Dalkeith Road, at around 1.30pm.
The man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary where he is receiving further treatment.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to the scene by ambulance staff to help detach the man from the lid.
