New Easter Road bar Arthur's Pub searching for 'dog influencer' to become furry face of social media channels
Arthur’s Pub put the call out on social media and has already received hundreds of applications
A new Edinburgh pub is calling for four-legged friends to apply to become an “influencer” for the venue ahead of its grand opening.
Arthur’s Pub, located on Easter Road, has been inundated with applications after launching a casting call for dogs on social media, with 384 applications being submitted within the first three hour of the post going live.
The watering hole is looking for a furry friend to become the new face of its social media campaigns, featuring in photographs and videos.

While the chosen model will be showered in treats for their work, the owner will also be paid for their time.
Owner Seamus O’Murphy: “We want Arthur’s to be a proper neighbourhood pub where people can bring their dog after a walk around Arthur’s Seat.
“But, in the interests of public order — and to avoid a canine takeover of Easter Road — we’ll be introducing a maximum occupancy of six dogs at any one time when we open.”
Entries for the dog influencer position close on Friday, November 30 at 11am, and entrants must be available to shoot between 2pm and 4pm on Sunday, November 1.
Arthur’s Pub is preparing to open next week, taking over the premises previously occupied by Middleton’s, which closed its doors suddenly earlier this year.
The new pub comes from the Auld Boy Pub Group, the team behind Seamus’s Pub in Tollcross, and Dougal’s Pub in Portobello.
Arthur’s Pub has been touted as Edinburgh’s newest “old man’s pub for all ages”.
