A full statement published alongside the tweet said they could “never have imagined” the event not taking place and that the coronavirus pandemic “is something that our generation has never seen before and hopefully we never see again.”

The statement continued: “This pandemic is something affecting the welfare and health of all our loved ones and everyone we know, we need to be responsible and act accordingly during this difficult time.”

Organisers said they are “eternally thankful” for all of the support they have received on social media, adding: “We will bounce back, bigger and better than ever before for October, taking the Easter lineup, adding even more acts and stages, to curate one of the biggest house & techno line-ups the UK has ever seen.

“A massive thank you to all artists, agencies and management working with us on the new date.

“All Easter tickets are automatically transferred to this new October date.

“For everyone with travel plans booked, most airlines and hotels are offering transfers free of charge, please contact them now to arrange.”

All ticket holders are being offered a 50 per cent credit to one of three Terminal V ‘all nighter’ events of their choice, with a ‘secret ticket link’ to be sent out by email soon.

Terminal V director, Derek Martin, said that they are encouraging transfers of tickets to the October date as a “primary option.”

He added: “With the risk the events industry is in just now, we’re hoping customers are happy to stand by us during these difficult times and allow us to deliver the rescheduled event this October.”
