An Edinburgh cafe with original features dating back to the early 1900s has gone on the market.

Renroc Café, which is located on Montgomery Street, is available for leasehold, with the sellers setting an asking price of £30,000.

A listing for Renroc Café on the agent's website reads: “Prominently located in Edinburgh's buzzing port district of Leith, Renroc Café is highly popular with locals and passing customers visiting the nearby Leith Walk. The café is easily accessible from Edinburgh City Centre via the tram network.

“The fully licensed café operates as a coffee shop with a food offering and is known for its high and consistent level of quality service. The café has a cosy atmosphere with seating for 16 customers and features original stone walls and iron cast ovens dating back to the early 1900s, when the business operated as a bakery. The downstairs space is currently unused but is available for additional seating or can be hired out for private events.

“Included in the sale are two additional rooms at basement level, which were previously rented out for alternative use.”

Simon Watson, who is handling the sale, added: “I am delighted to have been instructed to act on behalf of the current owners of the Renroc Café. Due to its prominent roadside location, it has huge potential to grow further revenue streams creating a clear opportunity for an existing restauranteur, café/bistro operator.”
