An online bingo addict from East Lothian stole more than £6000 from her own sister to help feed her gambling habit.

Sheriff Matthew Auchincloss placed Rybak on a two-year supervision order and told her she must complete 120 hours of unpaid work in the community.

Councillor Ashley Graczyk has asked for police intervention after several incidents involving groups on off road motorbikes in the Sighthill and Gorgie area.

A a drunk whose erratic driving alarmed other motorists has been banned from the roads for being nearly six times over the legal alcohol limit.

Forrest was pulled by over by Police Scotland on the A199 near Haddington, East Lothian, and officers were said to have “strongly smelled alcohol” coming from the vehicle.

A cyclist in Livingston was punched in the face after being approached in an underpass by two men early one morning last week.

Two young people have been charged by police, after an incident involving a Lothian bus.

The pair were apprehended by officers, after an incident in Edinburgh, where they held onto the back of a bus whilst it was in motion.
