Susanna is a sports writer for NationalWorld, who specialises in explainers and original stories on all sports topics and upcoming tournaments. She enjoys focusing more on cricket, Formula 1 and women’s football and hopes to continue expanding the coverage of women’s sport.
She hails from Bath, Somerset, but has been based in Edinburgh for several years, studying English and French Literature at the University of Edinburgh before taking up an Apprenticeship with NationalWorld and City of Portsmouth College. During her year abroad, Susanna worked as a teaching assistant in Paris but always maintained a strong interest in sports journalism, writing cricket reports for The Student. Susanna has been part of National World's Women’s Super League show since its first edition in September 2022. Susanna has interviewed former England footballer Lianne Sanderson, FIFA Uncovered producer Miles Coleman and campaigners raising awareness for MND Davy Zyw and Malcolm Holwill. She also writes opinion and analysis, such as her take on the reaction to Eilidh Barbour’s tweet following the Scottish Football Writers Awards. Outside of work, Susanna can usually be found wherever there’s a cricket match on and in her spare time enjoys reading, dancing and attempting to learn the cello.
